(CMR) A 21-year-old man was killed after flood waters swept his car away in Barbados on Saturday (November 14).
The body of Yohance Johnson of St Lucy was found almost a mile away from his car which had washed away into a gully.
It is understood that Johnson was driving home in the heavy rains when the incident occurred.
The incident which occurred at around 1:14 p.m. also injured a man who was standing along the roadway.
The Met Service in Barbados on Friday had issued a flash flood warning for the north and north-eastern districts of the island due to inclement weather in the region.
The met service had said that the island had already received two inches of rainfall with more rainfall expected to occur over the northern and north-eastern districts.
