“Ask them to forgive me, ask God to forgive me for failing him and ask the church to forgive me”
Bilma Linwood
(CMR) Bilma Linwood, a woman involved in the East End Blossom Circle pyramid scheme that has failed has reached out to Cayman Marl Road to issue an apology.
She shared in a voice note earlier this afternoon that she was very sorry for recruiting and getting people involved in this fiasco and that she is “heartbroken” and wishes to apologize to everyone involved. The heartfelt voice note shares that she had sleepless nights and is being threatened over the failure of this pyramid scheme.
The scheme promised people quick cash and an unbelievable return on their money.
She notes that she has “brought shame and reproach on her church” and has been going through a lot as a result of this incident. Ultimately she said that she has lived in the Cayman Islands since the early 1980s and has never had an issue before this. However, now she is begging those involved to assist her in giving the money back to those persons she recruited so that she can clear her name.
Linwood was identified by CMR as being the recruiter and collector of funds for a failed Family & Friends Blossom Circle (Sou-Sou) that has left almost 1,000 people in financial disarray. In an earlier voice note, we revealed that Linwood herself claimed to have put in 10 hands at $400 each into the group and has also sustained losses.
She says that people have been threatening her life over the loss of their money. Some persons have reached out to CMR and indicated losses of thousands of dollars in the scam.
Meanwhile, the principal players, Jenny Smith and Freddie Acuna Pacheco have remained silent and are said to now be living in the Swamp area of George Town after abruptly moving out of East End.
The police have indicated it is not a matter for them to get involved in but the parties have been instructed to try available remedies in a civil court.
