(CMR) Veteran dancehall artiste Beenie Man was rushed to hospital after he fainted at his mother's funeral in St Elizabeth on Sunday (October 25).
The dancehall act who lost his mother back in September 2020 appeared to be unable to stand at the graveside and was propped up by two men in the crowd.
He later collapsed, and was seeing being hurried away by four men who lifted the artiste away from the site.
Following the news and video footage of the ordeal making its way on social media platforms, mourners at the funeral were harshly criticized for not adhering to government guidelines regarding mask wearing.
While others took issue with the large number of people at the funeral, which under Jamaican law should not surpass 15, inclusive of officiating officers.
The dancehall veteran, whose real name is Moses Davis, lost his mother 63-year-old Lilieth Sewell after she suffered a brief bout of illness in September 2020.
