(CMR) Dancehall artiste Dexta Daps may have breached COVID-19 regulations related to the gathering limit, after videos surfaced on social media of a party which is said to have taken place in New York City over the weekend.
While it is unclear where exactly the secret session took place, the artiste who is known for his racy romantic lyrics which fuse hardcore dancehall with singing, even promoted the event.
Even Dexta Daps himself late last week told fans on Instagram that he would be hitting the stage on September 26 and September 27 in NYC.
Following the artiste's revelation, social media has been flooded with videos from the entertainer's performance which showed a massive crowd of people, a minority of whom were not seen wearing a mask, shining their phone lights having a whale of a time.
What about social distancing?
Forget it. The over crowded venue appeared to have exceeded capacity, with most patrons seemingly unconcerned about social distancing measures.
Artiste Ikaya was also said to have performed at the event.
NYC COVID-19 guidelines recommend entertainment-related events should be at a lower capacity, reduced to 33% smaller than normal, with patrons standing six feet apart.
