(CMR) A 12-year-old Jamaican girl tested positive for the coronavirus shortly after arriving at the Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados on Tuesday (September 15).
The child and her mother arrived in the island on a Caribbean Airlines flight from Jamaica.
The child, who has gone into isolation at Harrison Point in St Lucy, was accompanied by her mother and sister, who both tested negative.
Barbados has a total of 184 COVID-19 cases, while Jamaica has well over 4,000 cases.
Earlier today Jamaica's ministry of health revealed that the country had recorded an additional 122 new cases of which 66 are males and 56 females with ages ranging from 11 months to 88 years.
