(CMR) At least 21 persons, including two women, were arrested for breaches of the Disaster Risk Management Act and an additional five men arrested for Illegal Gaming during a special operation in Clarendon on Thursday (September 10).
Reports are that between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., a joint Police/Military operation was conducted in several communities in the division.
During the operation, 21 persons found to be in breach of the stipulation, to wear masks in public places were taken into custody.
Five men who were engaged in illegal gaming activities were also arrested.
The identities of the persons detained are being withheld pending further investigations.
To date Jamaica has 3,511 COVID-19 cases.
