(CMR) Jamaica recorded another spike in coronavirus cases on Tuesday (September 1).
According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness the island recorded 232 new cases of the virus an additional three deaths.
The deceased are a 88-year-old Clarendon man; who died on August 28, a 73- year-old man also from Clarendon; who died on August 30, and a 79-year-old St Elizabeth man who died yesterday.
According to the ministry, all three persons had underlying conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, hypertension, alcoholism and diabetes.
The latest spike in cases brings Jamaica’s tally to 2683, with the majority of cases, 219, under investigation while just five of the new cases are contacts of confirmed cases.
