(CMR) Former Miss World Trinidad and Tobago, Kimberly Farrah Singh, on Thursday revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19, despite following COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Singh in a post to her Facebook, told fans that her positive test results came as a surprise to her noting that she had followed all the protocols such as wearing a mask, washing her hands often and maintaining the social distance.
“I stayed at home only left for work, kept grocery, pharmacy and gas station runs to a minimum—– still became Covid-19 positive. I have no symptoms—– still Covid-19 positive,” said Singh on Facebook.
“I have done all that was required and acted responsibly. Now you may argue that I faltered in some way or the other, guess what none of these measures are foolproof. That's the risk we take every time we leave our houses,” added Singh.
Singh represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2015 Miss World pageant in Sanya, China.
The latest numbers out of Trinidad and Tobago's Ministry of Health noted that the country had recorded 36 new COVID-19 cases and two more deaths pushing the tally to 17.
The health ministry further said that the country had 867 active cases of the virus with 675 patients in home quarantine.
