(CMR) Guyana on Thursday (August 27) recorded another COVID-19 death bringing the island's death toll to 32.
The deceased was identified as 52-year-old Humphrey Alfred of Kingelly, West Coast Berbice.
Alfred was an employee of the Guyana Water Inc (GWI) Berbice branch.
The latest COVID-19 related death comes as the country's cases of the virus continue to rise in double digit figures, with the latest numbers out of the Ministry of Health showing that Guyana had recorded 47 new COVID-19 cases.
The new cases bring the total number of positive cases in the country to 1,140.
To date, Guyana says it has tested a total 7,654 persons for the virus.
