(CMR) 27-year-old, James Bodden Jr., has been arrested on suspicion of assault after he attacked a 60-year-old man with a car lug wrench on Thursday, July 30 evening shortly before 7:00 p.m. in the Pedro area of Savannah.
As the incident was unfolding tipsters informed CMR that “James jumped out his car and ran beat up XX and he went by ambulance.” The victim had just finished walking his 2 little dogs before the attack occurred.
The victim received injuries to his head and on his arm and was transported to the hospital. His nose was broken but he does not require surgery. His eye also sustained injuries from the attack that left him bruised and battered with a black and blue eye. One person shared “If he didn't block the tool he probably would be dead.” His arm had to get a lot of stitches as well as on the top of his head.
The victim suspects he may have followed him from the ATM machine at Countryside Shopping Centre.
Reports from the police are that, on the above date, officers on patrol heard a person in distress at a residence on Pedro Castle Road in Bodden Town and rendered assistance to the parties involved.
The man appeared in court today.
