(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) have launched a probe following a collision which occurred on Saturday (July 25) on Shamrock Road near Pointdexter Road.
The crash is believed to have involved a black Audi A4 and a Gray Honda Civic with a trailer attached at the rear.
Reports from the RCIPS are that the collision was believed to have taken place when a Grey Honda Civic exited Pointdexter Road, off Shamrock Road, and turned right heading in the direction of George Town.
The driver of an Audi A4, which was heading in the same direction, collided with the rear of the trailer causing extensive damage to the front end of the Audi and the rear of the Honda.
The driver of the Audi A4 complained of injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where she was treated for what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries and later discharged.
While at the hospital a specimen for testing was requested, the driver declined and as a result, she was warned for intended prosecution for failing to provide a specimen for testing.
The collision also caused debris that was being transported by the trailer to litter the roadway.
