(CMR)The dancehall community has been plunged into mourning following the death of a dancehall artiste's mother.
Dancehall artiste Shenseea on Thursday (June 25) announced on Instagram that her mother had died.
“Mommy my heart is BROKEN Mommy. broken. i never knew I had this much tears until this day, ” said a grief-stricken Shenseea on IG.
“I ask God for strength just strength. I love you Forever #RIP #RIP #RIP my mada and fada ina one!!! Jah know mi mada i’ll never forget you EVER, ” added the 23-year-old.
As news spread of the artiste's mother's death, several in the dancehall fraternity have reached out to the artiste to share their condolences.
Dancehall artiste, Spice, was one of the first to reach out to Shenseea.
“ WTF OMG why mi a refresh mi page over and over to read again @shenseea I’m soooooooo Sorry #RI I’m lost,” said Spice on the social media platform.
Shenseea's labelmate Ding Dong Ravers shared his condolences encouraging Shenseea to stay strong despite the sad occasion
“Jah jah sis ….. rip mamma sleep in peace ….. jah know sis hold it even tho mi know it hard,” .
Popcaan also shared his condolences on behalf of the unruly camp, further posting a touching voice note of the artiste's late mother talking about his haircut.
“Rest well mama thanks for the great energy, ” said Popcaan on IG.
