(CMR) Let's face it the coronavirus pandemic has been exhausting!
And it seems Cayman's Governor Martyn Roper would agree.
Governor Roper on Thursday (June 18) took a break from COVID-19 related matters and visited the Cayman Turtle Centre.
Governor Roper shared details of his visit to the conservation facility in West Bay on his Facebook page.
“Nice to do something other than COVID and support Cayman Turtle Centre with a turtle release this morning,” said Roper on Facebook.
Roper noted that the turtle centre played a very important role in conservation further adding that he was “excited” to see 3-year-old turtles being released into the sea.
Roper further used the occasion to congratulate those at the centre for their efforts in the challenging times.
“Well, done to Tim Adam and colleagues for all that you are doing in challenging times,” added Roper.
Roper further shared that one of the turtles released was named “Martyn”.
