(CMR) In a lengthy document posted to Twitter, American Sprinter, Christian Coleman, addressed his provisional suspension for missing three drug tests.
According to the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) Coleman was suspended for “whereabouts failures”, which are given for missing drug tests.
The AIU on Wednesday tweeted, ” The AIU confirms a provisional suspension against Christian Coleman of the USA for whereabouts failures, a violation of the @WorldAthletics Anti-Doping Rules.”
Coleman did not let the tweet go unchecked, as he told his Twitter following that he was not even aware of the drug test, as he was out Christmas shopping and had received no phone call or communication that he was wanted for testing.
The 24-year-old American Sprinter went on to say that he was only made aware that he had missed the testing after the fact, when on the next day, December 10, 2019, the AIU sent him a “failed attempt record out of nowhere”.
“Y’all know this is wrong @aiu_athletics something needs to change. “Integrity unity” smh,” tweeted Coleman.
