(CMR) Despite recording one new case of the coronavirus, the island's recovery rate has steadily been increasing.
Four hundred and four (404) patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing Jamaica's total recovery rate to 68 percent up from Friday' s 62.3 percent
The latest confirmed case is a 41-year-old male from St. Catherine who is a contact of a confirmed case.
The country had previously recorded two consecutive days with no new coronavirus cases.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton at a virtual press conference on Thursday shared that two patients were in critical condition, further adding that eight healthcare professionals have tested positive for the virus.
Jamaica has a total of 596 COVID-19 cases of which only 192 are active cases.
