(CMR) A 29-year-old George Town woman died on Friday (June 5) after she was rescued from a pool two days earlier.
Reports from the Royal Cayman Island Police Service (RCIPS) are that on Wednesday (June 3) emergency services were dispatched to an address on South Sound Road, where it was reported that a woman was found unresponsive in a pool at the location.
She was removed from the water and residents at the location commenced CPR, until the ambulance arrived and EMTs took over medical assistance.
The woman was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment and was placed in the Critical Care Unit where she was said to have been in serious and life-threatening condition.
On Friday the woman was said to have succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
