(CMR) Fidelity Bank (Cayman) Limited has confirmed that one of their employees has tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result, they will be carrying out additional sanitation measures for the second floor of their Dr. Roy's Drive location.
The sanitation and deep-cleaning will be done over the weekend and allow the bank to re-open on Monday, June 8 morning at 9:00 am. They have also confirmed that the ground floor operations will be unaffected as the infected employee had no contact with those employees due to their “strict team protocol in place across buildings and floors.” This was done as a preemptive measure to minimize the possibility of spread of the virus within their organization.
Fidelity also shared that they have their own strict contact tracing procedure in place and anyone else who may be at risk has been sent home to self-quarantine for 14 days.
The bank will be installing barrier screens at all teller stations and customer service desks as well as sanitation stations at the entrance of the bank. Additionally, the wearing of masks and social distancing protocols remain in place and will be enforced.
