(CMR) Tiffany Seymour the wife of Health Minister, Dwayne Seymour, will not face any disciplinary action after she was alleged to have breached the rules during the lockdown.
Police Commissioner, Derek Bryne, shared the revelation as he responded to a question posed by CMR's administrator, Sandra Hill, who enquired about the matter.
“Confirming that the file is back for Ms. Seymour, no proceedings,” said Bryne in a very abrupt answer, adding no further details about the matter.
CMR first reported on the alleged breach on April 26 after an Instagram video surfaced of “First Lady Seymour” as she is dubbed in some circles, performing an exercise routine with her trainer.
There was a significant public outcry following the incident with many pushing for the authorities to look into the matter; as many were barred from doing similar activities due to shelter in place provisions.
Yielding to public pressure, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service(RCIPS) had on April 29 said that had launched an investigation into the matter.
The police confirmed on May 9 that they had completed their investigation and the matter had been directed to the prosecution’s office for a ruling.
To date, the Minister has only shared a biblical parable as he sought to address the matter involving his wife.
