(CMR) The families of two young girls from Cayman Brac are reaching out to the community for support as they reel from the financial strain caused by cancer treatment expenses.
Charlotte Tibbetts and Ashlee Walton are both cancer patients and they also have another similarity-they are also the children of Cayman Airways employees.
The families say that as a result of COVID-19 lockdowns which have reduced incomes, they are running low on funding to finance their daughters’ treatments.
In a collaborative effort aimed at raising awareness about the issues facing both girls, the families have joined forces and have launched a fundraising campaign.
The money will be divided between the two families equally.
Donations can be made directly to both families.
Alternatively, donations can be made to the Cayman National Bank.
For Ashlee Walton, donations can be made to Dal Walton Garcia's account. Account number 012-23926.
For Charlotte Tibbetts, donations can be made to Deanna Tibbetts' account. Account number 012- 51748.
Those donating via direct bank transfers are asked to leave their name in the memo or description box.
Additionally, a GoFundme campaign has been launched for Charlotte Tibbetts by Rue Meade and Mona Meade.
