(CMR) Four persons were taken into custody on Monday (May 4) after they were caught congregating and consuming marijuana at an address off Eastern Avenue.
Reports from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) are that shortly before 2:40 PM they reported to the location after receiving complaints from neighbours.
Officers said that at the location they detected the strong scent of ganja.
A search of the persons was conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Law, and 23 small packets of suspected ganja, along with a ganja cigarette, were recovered.
As a result, all four persons: a woman, age 23 of Bodden Town, and three men, ages 29, 23, and 22 of George Town, were arrested on suspicion of consumption of ganja, possession of ganja, and possession of ganja with intent to supply.
All four have been granted bail as investigations continue.
