(CMR) The Jamaican Consulate in Cayman on Monday (May 4) said it remains open to assist nationals in the overseas territory with re-entry applications.
The news comes as Jamaica recently implemented new protocols for the controlled re-entry of nationals into the island on a phased basis.
According to the consulate, they will be providing assistance in this regard, however, individuals wishing to use their services must make an appointment.
“Please contact the Jamaican Consulate’s emergency number (345) 547-4826 if assistance is required with the re-entry application,” said the consulate in a memo.
The consulate reiterated that if successful, individuals will be quarantined at a government facility – a mandatory condition of the re-entry.
Further they added that the application does not guarantee an immediate return.

The consulate further used the occasion note that persons can make contact with their emergency lines for updates on other applications such as passports and citizenship requests, as well as, make arrangements for collection.
