(CMR) Jamaica’s Minister of Health and Wellness, Christopher Tufton, said moments ago that the country now has 223 confirmed coronavirus cases.
“Included in those numbers are 27 new cases, of those 19 are females and 8 males,” Tufton said while speaking at a press briefing on Monday.
There are now 34 imported cases; 47 are contacts of a confirmed case, and 136 cases are under investigation. Of the 136 cases under investigation, 120 have been identified within that workplace cluster; in addition to 16 other cases.
According to Tufton, 1889 samples have been tested with 1,655 negative results.
