(CMR) Popular Jamaican entertainer, Louis Grandison, better known by his stage name, ‘Dexta Daps’ was taken into police custody late Wednesday evening.
When CMR reached out on Thursday (April 9) to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Stephanie Lindsay, who heads up the Jamaican police force’s corporate communication union, the entertainer had still not been charged.
Lindsay told the CMR news reporter, Denieca Brown, that Dexta Daps along with others were detained as part of on-going investigations into gang-related activities in the Seaview Gardens community.
According to Lindsay, she is awaiting further communications from the investigators as to how the matter will progress.
Dexta Daps currently remains behind bars, though CMR understands that the “Bring it to the owner” hit-maker has retained an attorney.
