(CMR) Durk Tatum (37), A Honduran-Caymanian resident was detained by border agents of the Honduras National Police today at the Golosón International Airport in La Ceiba, Honduras for the alleged crime of money laundering after he was found with over $10,000 in cash.
He was said to be traveling from Guanaja Island on flight 880 to the city of La Ceiba when he was apprehended by authorities. Sources indicate he was coming back to Cayman later in the afternoon. He had in his possession $10,060.00 USD dollars in denominations of $ 20.00 and a total of $168.00 KYD.
Tatum is a resident in Cayman and works as a property maintenance supervisor for a local company. Tatum is originally from Guanaja (Bonnacca), Bay Islands, Honduras but is said to have Cayman residence.

Tatum is married and has three children. His wife is said to work for a government agency.
