(CMR) Early reports are that a man has been killed at Bananas Restaurant & Bar located in Dolphin Center, Eastern Avenue, George Town.
One CMR eyewitness said that a major fight broke out around 3:26 am when they were leaving the establishment. Another source indicated the patron may have suffered a broken neck in the altercation.
Bananas have been in the news on numerous occasions for fights at that location. Police now have the entire plaza quartered off as their investigations continue. Despite that, we understand that the Liquor Licensing Board recently gave them permission to remain open until 5:00 am.

POLICE UPDATE:
Late this afternoon police have confirmed that Just before 3:40 am police and other emergency services were dispatched to Bananas Bar, Dolphins Plaza on Eastern Avenue where it was reported that there was a person in distress.
An unresponsive man was found at the location was found and transported by the ambulance to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Circumstances surrounding this incident are still unclear and detectives are seeking the assistance of witnesses who were present and can provide an insight as to what took place.
