(CMR) Exclusive Cayman Marl Road sources indicate that Marshall has terminated his employment contract at Maples Group after he was charged in Miami for allegedly assaulting his wife on October 5.
Sources confirm that the decision was imminent despite his wife issuing a public statement coming to his defense late Thursday evening. Originally inside sources said the contract was terminated by his employer. However, Maples has issued a statement that he resigned. The option to voluntarily resign is often given to employees to not have a termination on their record. Maples indicated no further statement will be made.
The brutality of the allegations was laid out in the police report stating that Jennifer Marshall emerged from her hotel room and subsequently fell down unconscious after the alleged assault in the hallway of the hotel. 911 was contacted to transport her to the hospital for treatment.
All indications of his employment had Maples Group have been wiped from their website. His profile page still shows up in Google search but now states:
“Sorry! We can't seem to find the page you're looking for”.
Marshall pleaded not guilty on October 6. Marshall remains chairman of the Pines Retirement Home's board of directors.
