A man, age 21 of George Town, has been formally charged with Theft and Damage to Property, in relation to an incident on 31 December, where a car parked in the vicinity of Spotts Beach was broken into and personal items stolen. He has also been charged with 1 count of Attempting to Obtain Property by Deception and 3 counts of Obtaining Property by Deception, in relation to purchases made using a stolen bank card.

A woman, age 19 of George Town, has been charged with Handling Stolen Goods in relation to the same matter.

They are appearing in court this morning, 7 January.


A man, age 36 of West Bay, has been formally charged with Burglary and Resisting Arrest, in relation to an incident on 1 January, where an address on South Church Street in George Town was broken into and personal items and jewelry stolen.

He is appearing in court this morning, 7 January.

In a separate matter, a man, age 19 of West Bay, has been formally charged with Burglary, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct in relation to an incident on 5 September, 2018, where an address on Fountain Road, West Bay, was broken into.

He appeared in court on Friday, 4 January, and was remanded into custody until 8 January.
