(CMR) Several youth vandals are being sought by distraught South Sound residents who are appealing for people who may recognize their voices or images from video surveillance cameras to come forward. Multiple residents in the area have reached out to Cayman Marl Road asking for assisting in tracking down the criminal duo.
It appears that the two teenage boys caused considerable damage to homes and vehicles in Webster's Estate and the surrounding area off Walker's Road in the early morning hours today. Based on eyewitnesses and surveillance cameras it appears that they began their spree in the Webster's Estate area first and then continued along Walkers's Road. After vandalizing several cars and homes with spray paint and breaking glasses in Webster's they proceeded to break a front glass door at another residence. At one point you can hear them shaking the spray cans in the video as they approached.
We understand the property damage in Webster's Estate is significant. They also targeted street signs.

Around 3:27 am they smashed a light on on Walkers Rd. Fifteen minutes later they were captured in an adjoining neighborhood. They attempted to dislodge the camera at one residence; and one can be heard commenting that no one will be able to find them. The young criminals were unaware that the the camera as still capturing them. It is believed they are around 13-15 years old. They can be heard speaking a strong Caymanian accent.
Our sources indicate that police have been on the scene all morning interviewing and speaking with residents. One resident shared:
“Someone will recognize these kids from school. Teachers and administrators should review the videos and listen carefully to the voices.”
We understand that MLA Barbara Connolly was also making the rounds and speaking with residents.
The police were also dealing with a reported shooting not to far from this area. This is a rather shocking night of events for what is considerably another wise peaceful, affluent neighborhood.
Anyone with details on who these young men are should immediately contact the police.
