(CMR) Neville Passard (54) of Jamaica has been charged with defilement of a girl under 16 and indecent assault involving upwards of six young Caymanian girls; ranging in age from 8 to 11-year old.
It is alleged that the victims were subjected to abuse over the course of years. When it was finally disclosed the mothers of the girls were prompted to probe further and other girls came forward and also acknowledged being victimized by him. The initial disclosure led to an altercation between him and the mothers and he ran and hid in his home. We understand he was not immediately apprehended.
Exclusive Cayman Marl Road sources indicate that he was on the plane attempting to abscond to Jamaica when he was apprehended by the RCIPS on January 28. We have been informed that all 6 victims have already provided police statements and that Passard has already made an initial court appearance and been charged with multiple offenses. He has since been remanded to prison on Thursday, 31 January.
Multiple sources contacted CMR with the shocking details of the alleged rape and pressed us to investigate the matter further as the police had not even announced his arrest. One parent shared this:
“I'm shocked that they can report when someone is arrested for a DUI but a man defiles our children by raping six of them and we hear nothing at all about it.”
Ironically, his name has not appeared on the local court lists either.
Passard is known locally by many as “Indian” and worked for a local paving company. He is said to be married to a Caymanian woman and lived in George Town. He recently returned to the Cayman Islands after having left the jurisdiction for Jamaica. We understand he is known to the girls and their parents casually.
Other sources have informed us he is a long-time Cayman resident and may also be known as Chris and has been here before Hurricane Ivan.
