(CMR) The Cayman Islands Port Authority's Acting Port Director, Joseph Woods, has issued a statement confirming four Caymanians staff members have been terminated with notice.
This announcement comes at a time when the Port Authority Board just announced the hiring of some 20 additional staff members at the July 31st meeting.
The statement goes on to state that no further details would be forthcoming from the port at this time. CMR understands that the senior staff members include three female and one male port employees have been terminated include the Human Resources Manager, a deputy and several others who may have had some involvement with the sexual harassment allegations made some months back.
Allegations were made against Chief Financial Officer/FOI Manager, James C. Parsons Jr., and in a subsequent investigation he has since been cleared of any proven wrongdoing.
