A young mother in the Windsor Park area took to social media and is making a public plea for the return of her wedding ring after a home burglary earlier this month.
On Wednesday the 4th of October after 2 a.m. the resident had her home broken into and burglarized while she slept with her two sons ages 2 and 9. The perpetrator entered her room and stole her wedding ring, a gold Movado watch, iPhone and a substantial amount of money out of her wallet. They also stole her husband's Gucci shades and other valuables from the nightstand next to where she slept.
During the burglary, she awoke to find the lone male perpetrator leaving her bedroom. She was able to catch a quick glimpse of him and observed that he's a slim built black male of dark brown complexion likely in his early to mid-'20s with a white shirt over his head – not tied in any way. He was wearing a marina and 3 quarter leg pants. The victim thinks the perpetrator is familiar with the area as well as the fact that she would have been home alone with her kids as her husband was working the night shift. She feels devastated that someone would invade her personal space in such a brazen manner.
Of all of the items taken, the wedding ring has significant sentimental value and she is asking for anyone who can assist in the recovery of the ring to please contact the RCIPS. She is also offering a reward for the return of the ring.
