(CMR) Four students in the isolation facility have tested positive according to Dr. Lee, the Chief Medical Officer. They will remain in isolation until two further negative test results are received for them. There were a total number of six new cases out of the 144 test results that were reported today.
The premier indicated that the results from the student population confirm that they made the right decision to test the student population before permitting them to leave the facility. He further explained that there could be a number of reasons why they have tested after the 14-day quarantine period including having acquired the infection on the incoming flight.
The issue of landlords also came up during today's briefing with the Premier confirming that they have no legal remit to compel landlords to handle tenants in any particular manner. Many renters have been complaining about landlords issuing eviction notices during these tumultuous times.
