(CMR) An eleven-year-old girl and her 19-year-old twin brothers were shot to death in St James, Jamaica, Wednesday night following a dispute between the brothers and men in their home community.
According to local media, the three have been identified as Jevaughn and Jevaughnie Stewart, and Petagaye Cooke.
Armed men reportedly forced their way into their home at Irwin Heights about 8 p.m and opened fire, killing the siblings on the spot. Investigators say the three family members may have been murdered because of a dispute involving the twin brothers and men from the community, Jamaica Gleaner reported.
“Based on our investigation, the brothers were recently attacked at gunpoint by a group of men from the area, and a report was made to the police,” a senior cop told The Gleaner.
He said two men implicated in that recent attack had been arrested.
